Pastor Bradley Williams, Pastor Katie Burgos & Rev. Dr. Jen Garbin
Worship services are in English. Song lyrics are projected onto television screens, so you can sing along and participate in worship. The service starts with prayer, music, and then a scripture reading. Then, an offering is taken up, announcements are shared, and children are invited to go to Children's Church. Afterwards, the sermon is preached and there is time for personal prayers.
Even before worship starts, everyone is invited to a Bible study at 9:30 am and then prayers around the altar at 10:30 am. After service, you are invited to stay for fellowship over coffee or over the occasional light lunch that is served in the fellowship hall.
Worship at Freedom Church is charismatic, experiential, and dynamic. Musical leadership is provided by soloists and the praise band. People are welcome to sing out loud, raise their hands, and move as the Spirit moves them.
Freedom Church is a safe and judgement free place. You are welcome to dress like "you" and come as you are.
Freedom Church partners with Freedom Respite to provide meaningful support for adults with intellectual disabilities. Through its day program, respite staff lead music sessions, arts and crafts, and games. In addition, they prepare meals and snacks, and organize local excursions for participants.
The church also manages a food pantry and provides community meals to support those facing food insecurity.
Freedom Church was planted by Rev. Jonathan Nantais. The church was part of a penecostal, evangelical denomionation before Rev. Jonathan discerned a call to affiliate with the Disciples of Christ in 2020. The church embraces its charasmatic worship and preaching styles and it celebrates having the freedom to interpret scripture and to be committed to social justice.
